Description: Franchise Baseball is both time consuming and labor intensive, not to mention costly to operate due to the complex nature of the game. For that reason, although we offer a generous trial period for franchise owners, we ask that you subscribe your team if you enjoy the game and want to continue playing. Subscriptions not only help us to continue to bring you this great game, but, also give your team benefits. The free period is a trial period only.

Cost: Subscriptions are based on game time, not real life. A single season subscription costs $9.99 for the first team subscribed on an order and $8.99 for all subsequent teams on the same order. A single season lasts approximately 2.5-3 months. A four season subscription costs $24.99 for the first team on an order and $22.99 for all subsequent teams on the same order. Single season and four season subscriptions may not be combined on the same order. A four season subscription lasts approximately 10-12 months in real time. The discounts for multiple teams are able to be offered because of savings on the costs of transactions, teams that are not all on the same order unfortunately cannot be given the discounted rates for multiple teams. So, if you subscribe a team in January for one year, you can't get the $22.99 rate if you subscribe a second team in March, both teams must be on the same order.

Length and Expiration: As mentioned in the Cost section, subscriptions are for one and four seasons. A team will expire one or four seasons to the day that it was activated. For example, if an owner purchases a four season subscription on Day 13 of year 1953 (game year) it will last until Day 13 of 1957. At that point the subscription will expire and all benefits of a subscribed team will be lost. If a team is renewed before the end of the season (the day that the team's record is zeroed out) some benefits (like two season concession and merchandise contracts) will be restored for that season (others automatically are restored). If a team goes through the end of a season unsubscribed, various items will be lost, like concession and merchandise contracts purchased that season and perhaps a subscriber only stadium level.

Status: At any time you can see what year and day your subscription expires and the current status of this team (subscribed/non-subscribed) in the Office Vitals section. In addition, if you are a non-subscriber, you can see how long you have left in your trial period in the "expiration" field.

Benefits: Franchise Baseball is designed to give subscribed users extra benefits in the game. There are a number of subscriber benefits and they are as follows:

- May own multiple teams in different leagues - you may own as many subscribed teams as there are leagues.
- Unlimited Free Agent Signings
- Unlimited Player Releases
- Merchandise Contracts last 2 seasons (non-subscribers last 1)
- Concession Contracts last 2 seasons (non-subscribers last 1)
- Stadium may be upgraded to all levels
- Team will not be deleted after 14 days of inactivity (non-subscribers have 14 days of inactivity)
- Historical player data is displayed on the players vital screen (non-subscribers only see current season)
- May search active players on criteria such as skill level, position and name (unavailable to non-subscribers)
- Can assign players numbers (visible in player vitals screen)
- Can give players nicknames (visible in player vitals screen)

- Can scout another team's vitals (unavailable to non-subscribers)
- Can include money in trades (if trade is with another subscribed team)
- No pop-up advertisements.

Trial Period: We want everyone playing Franchise Baseball for the first time to have ample time to try out the game and decide if you like it before you commit any money. For that reason we have setup a generous free trial period. The standard trial period for Franchise Baseball is currently 90 days. Since you may play for 3 months, you should be able to see the start of at least one season, regular season, post season and end of the season at least once. If after that time you like the game and still want to play, we ask that you please subscribe your team. If you are not interested in continuing, we place the team back in the pool of available teams so another person may try out the game. At any point in time, an owner may check how many days they have left in the trial period by viewing the Expiration field on the Office Vitals screen.

Renewal: If a subscriber elects to renew their subscription before the expiration date, that new subscription is added on to the end of the first one. For example, if a subscription expires on Day 6 of 1954 (game year) and the owner renews the subscription for another four seasons, the new expiration date would automatically become Day 6 of 1958. When a subscription expires, the owner will have 30 days from the expiration before the team is returned to the pool of available teams for another owner to take. During that period, several reminders will be sent to the email address on file. The time left to resubscribe may also be checked on the office vitals screen under subscription expiration.

Refunds: Given the nature of the game, payment methods and low cost of subscriptions to end users, Simgalaxy.com cannot offer refunds on subscriptions. This includes refunds because a change is made to the game an owner doesn't like or agree with, a decision not to play any longer or any other unforseen circumstances.
